Fleet livery · Ford Transit Custom L1 H1
The flank is a real frame from an HV shoot, graded the way the art direction says imagery should be graded. Deep shadows, filmic contrast, background crushed toward black so the white type and the gold cut through. The mark is small. The photograph does the work.
Artwork files Brief for the printerComposited onto a photograph, not a drawing. The car park behind it is thrown out of focus and crushed down, so what you are judging is the van.
The image is Lloyd on a Ronin, shot on a client job. Swap it for any frame you prefer and nothing else in the layout has to move, as long as the replacement is at least 4400 px on the long edge and has dead space for the type. Every frame gets the same grade, so a set of vans would look like a set.
Millimetres at full size. Horizontal from the front edge of the body, vertical from the ground with the van unladen. Cap height means the height of a capital letter, not point size.

Nothing sits across a door handle. Both handles land at roughly 1200 mm and the front door has glass above 1330 mm, so all the type lives above the handle line and behind the B pillar. The photograph does cross the handles and the shut lines, which is normal for an image wrap and gets cut and tucked on the day.
| Layer | Product | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Base colour change | 3M 2080-G12 Gloss Black, or Avery SW900 Gloss Black | Skip if the van is already factory black |
| Printed graphics | 3M IJ180Cv3 cast film + 3M 8518 gloss overlaminate | Or Avery MPI 1105 SC + DOL 1360Z. Cast, never calendared |
| Glazed rear doors | One way vision perforated film | Only if the doors you buy are glazed |
Ask for a proof of the photograph, not just the gold. A dark graded image is the hardest thing on this van to print well. Get a proof strip of the shadow area on the actual laminated media, and if it blocks up or bands, ask them to lift the black point slightly rather than lifting the whole image.
1:10 scale, 100 mm bleed at full size, gold corner trim marks, type outlined, photograph embedded at full resolution. PDF for output, SVG if they want to re-lay it onto their own licensed vehicle template.
Send this with the files.
VEHICLE Ford Transit Custom, L1 short wheelbase, H1 low roof, panel van.
Confirm the model year against your own template before output.
SCOPE Full gloss black colour change, plus a printed photographic wrap
on both sides and the rear doors. Bonnet, front bumper and roof
stay plain black, no graphics.
ARTWORK Supplied at 1:10 as vector PDF and SVG. All type outlined. The
photograph is embedded at 46 dpi effective on the sides and
37 dpi on the rear, both above the usual wrap minimum.
100 mm bleed at full size. Gold corner marks show the trim.
MATERIAL Base: 3M 2080-G12 Gloss Black (or Avery SW900 equivalent)
Print: 3M IJ180Cv3 cast + 3M 8518 gloss overlaminate
Glass: one way vision film if the rear doors are glazed
Cast film only. No calendared vinyl on this job.
COLOUR The image is deliberately dark. Please proof the shadow area on
the actual laminated media before the full run. If it blocks up
or bands, lift the black point, do not lift the whole image.
Gold gradient #705836 to #E5D097 on the mark and the glyph only.
Match the hex, not a Pantone swatch.
FITTING Knifeless tape at all shut lines. Post-heat recesses to 90 to
100 C. The image crosses the door handles and shut lines, which
is expected. Type never does, so if a panel does not line up,
move the whole type block rather than one element.
QUOTE Please price it two ways:
A. Full colour change plus the wrap, as specified.
B. Wrap only, assuming the van is already factory black.
Include removal of any existing vinyl if present.
Rough UK market range so you can sanity check a quote, not a price from us. A full colour change plus a printed wrap on an L1 Transit Custom usually lands between £2,600 and £3,600 including fitting.
