Fleet livery v1 · Ford Transit Custom L1 H1
A full gloss black wrap with printed gold graphics. Both sides, the rear doors and the roof. Artwork is vector, drawn at 1:10 with every letter converted to outlines, so a wrap shop can output it without opening a font.
Artwork files Brief for the printerOne idea per surface. The sides carry the mark, the rear carries the hook, the front carries a windscreen sun strip, and the roof carries the mark again for drone shots. Everything else is black, because on this brand black is the material and gold is the light.
Why the block sits high on the sides. Both door handles land at roughly 1200 mm above the ground, and the front door has glass above 1330 mm. The only large piece of uninterrupted metal on a panel van is behind the B pillar and above the handles, so the whole composition lives there. Anything lower gets a handle through it.
Every measurement is in millimetres at full size. Horizontal is measured from the front edge of the body, vertical from the ground with the van unladen. Cap height means the height of a capital letter, not the point size. Hand this table to the fitter with the artwork.

Two things to check on the actual van before output. The sliding door track position, and the exact rear door split ratio. If the track fouls the gold rule, drop the whole side block by 60 mm and nothing else changes. The artwork runs continuously across the rear door split and gets cut at the shut line, which is normal.
Four colours exist on this vehicle and one of them is a gradient. Nothing else goes on it.
| Layer | Product | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Base colour change | 3M 2080-G12 Gloss Black, or Avery SW900 Gloss Black | Skip if the van is already factory black |
| Printed graphics | 3M IJ180Cv3 cast film + 3M 8518 gloss overlaminate | Or Avery MPI 1105 SC + DOL 1360Z. Cast, not calendared |
| Ghost monogram | 3M 2080-M12 Matte Black, cut | Matte on gloss. Reads only at an angle, which is the point |
| Gold, option B | Avery SW900-820-M Gold Metallic, or Oracal 970RA-091 | Cut vinyl. Real metallic sheen, but you lose the gradient |
Ask for a proof strip of the gold before the full run. The ramp goes from a deep bronze to a pale cream and it is the one thing on this van that a printer can get wrong. Nearest Pantone references are 4635 C at the dark end and 7502 C at the light end, but match to the hex values in the file, not to the Pantone book.
PDF for output, SVG if they want to re-lay it onto their own licensed vehicle template. Both are the same vector artwork.
The rear file covers the full rear face, 0 to 1950 mm. The bottom 690 mm falls on the bumper and valance and is plain black, so it can be trimmed off or wrapped, whichever the fitter prefers.
Send this with the files.
VEHICLE Ford Transit Custom, L1 short wheelbase, H1 low roof, panel van.
Confirm model year against your own template before output.
SCOPE Full gloss black colour change, plus printed graphics on both
sides, the rear doors, the roof, and a windscreen sun strip.
Bonnet and front bumper stay plain black, no graphics.
Sun strip must sit above the swept area and clear of the
driver's critical vision zone. Trim it to the glass on site.
ARTWORK Supplied at 1:10 as vector PDF and SVG. All type outlined.
100 mm bleed at full size. Gold corner marks show the trim.
Positions are also given as a millimetre table, measured from
the front edge of the body and from the ground.
MATERIAL Base: 3M 2080-G12 Gloss Black (or Avery SW900 equivalent)
Print: 3M IJ180Cv3 cast + 3M 8518 gloss overlaminate
Ghost: 3M 2080-M12 Matte Black, cut, tone on tone
Cast film only. No calendared vinyl on this job.
COLOUR Gold gradient #705836 to #E5D097. Please send a printed proof
strip of that ramp on the actual laminated media before the
full run. Match the hex, not a Pantone swatch.
The black background carries a very subtle steel green gradient
across the full 5 m panel. Render at high quality and add a fine
grain at RIP stage if the proof shows banding rings.
FITTING Knifeless tape at all shut lines. Post-heat recesses to 90 to 100 C.
Roof graphic squared to the body, not to the roof bars.
QUOTE Please price it two ways:
A. Full colour change plus graphics, as specified.
B. Graphics only, assuming the van is already factory black.
Include removal and disposal of any existing vinyl if present.
Rough UK market range so you can sanity check a quote, not a price from us. A full colour change plus graphics on an L1 Transit Custom usually lands between £2,400 and £3,400 including fitting. Graphics only on an already black van is normally £550 to £950.
Everything else is decided and drawn. These two change the quote, so they are worth five seconds each.
The steel green lighting across the panels and the matte on gloss monogram both need the whole panel wrapped. On a factory black van with cut graphics only, you lose both and it becomes a plain black van with a gold logo on it.
If you are buying the van anyway, spec it black and still wrap it. Same finish, but the wrap comes off in three years and the paint underneath is untouched.
Recommend: full gloss black wrapPrinted reproduces the brand gold exactly, gradient and all, and under a gloss laminate it reads properly metallic in daylight. Cut metallic vinyl has a real sheen that print cannot fake, but it is one flat colour, so the gradient goes.
The gradient is the brand. A flat tan wordmark is a different logo.
Recommend: printed gradientOptional extra worth £0. A QR on the lower right rear door, around 230 mm square, pointed at huntvisuals.com with a tracking parameter. Useless at 30 mph, genuinely useful in a queue at the Grove Lodge roundabout. Say the word and it goes in.
